Often to make liqueurs, chopped or mashed fruit is soaked (macerated) with sugar and alcohol for several days or weeks. Once settled and filtered, it becomes a delicious cordial!
Be aware that although glass is safe, you should ensure that plastic containers you may use are safe for storing food and drink!
